Dogs and cats require specific care, including spaying or neutering to prevent unwanted litters and reduce the occurrence of abandoned or abused animals.

Like most pet owners, I have been very attached to our pets.  However, I find the “pets as children” idea rather false, as well as disrespectful to the animal. Animals should be accepted for what they are, not remade into children.  Most dogs are intelligent, adult animals and it is insulting to treat them as children.

Pets can be a blessing, and they should be treated as such.   That’s something to be valued.
