We have had extended opportunities with pet adopting our pets. One might think that taking on a pet who has been takencare of by someone else is a difficult situation, from our experience, it gives one the opportunity to first introduce yourself to the pet gaining trust and love in their new home and surroundings. Love and trust is essential in as much whether it be a cat or dog.
We recently adopted our third pet. She is a Schitztu-Bichon cross. At first it was trying, however, with patience, love and trust our little dog has come along way, and settled in very nicely.
She was given away by her previous owner, who fell ill and this person felt incapable to look after herself as well as a active year old puppy. Apparently the pet store ,that she was originally purchased her from agreed to take her back and find her a new home. They assured us with a complete vet check that she was healthy and would be no problem.
We have enjoyed her to the utmost, and are very pleased we chose her.
More people should give the unwanted pets a home, with love and trust as a reward.
