In Canada we have a organization called S.P.C.A society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, in which animals are cared for whether it be on a adoption to a new owners or they have a watchful eye on owners who maybe mistreating their animals, then they take over the animals to place them in better care.
Funding comes from many sources, usually from people who care about animals welfare. There have been some people giving a legacy from their personal wealth to help keep animals healthy and happy.
Our governments aid in making sure those who don’t treat animals properly, are brought to justice and punished for a criminal offense.
Many people give of their time to help this organization maintain a good standard for innocent animals.

2/ Donate money. All animal shelters and organizations can use monetary donations of any size, to assist them with their programs.
3/ Donating things that would help with day to day care such as blankets, towels, paper products and cleaning supplies. Pet toys are always needed.
4/ Adopt or foster a homeless pet. If you are looking for a pet, contact your local shelter to provide a good home.
5/ Opportunities to help animals in your neighborhood, such as helping seniors or people who are sick or injured needing help to care for their pets, by being a good neighbor.
